Nice video and explanations, thanks a bunch. Looking to do mine in the near future. 2001 Tundra 180,000 miles, but toyota changed the first time at 100,000.
Nice presentation. This was well though out and expertly delivered. My hat is off to you. I learned a lot enough to know that I would not take on this project. Thanks
Thank you for your video…very informative! You may have mentioned this at the beginning, but where did you order your timing belt kit from? Thanks again-
@1godwetrust1 Hi, I just put a socket on the bottom crank pulley and turned it until I had that timing mark at 0, then looked at the cams and they were both on there marks, so I knew that all was in the right spot with the old belt still on,,, as far as the belt it did not look like there was much wear but after hearing some horror stories I went and changed it, the water pump seemed fine too but changed it out anyway while I was in there, its not a hard job just a long one,6 hours,, good luck
And how did your old belt look at 147k. I have 135k on mine and I have been debating doing it myself or take to a shop. I have done a timing chain before. This looks a little more intricate, but I think your video has gaven me the courage to do it. Lol.
did you take out your spark plugs and line up your #1 cylinder to TDC. If so whats the eaisiest way to do it?
Good job. I've got 165,000 on the 2012 F-150. I probably should have mine done.
Yada yada yada … Good night back at you!
It's alive!!!
I did exactly as you sow but when I did the first turn it won’t turn
May timing belt won’t turn
