Do you ever run down south for a rust free vehicle, and treat it before heading back up north? I know down here in Chattanooga we barely get any snow, but if we do then it is mayhem!
Meh… tie it to a tree, build the revs and slam it into reverse… fixed! 😛 Seriously though, it will be cool to see you put this right , if it's at all possible. I guess the next couple of videos will tell.
Watching you drive the bus around brought back memories as well. Back when I did my national service in the early 90's, there were still some air-cooled VW busses kicking around in the inventory and, if I had the choice when needing to use a van (instead of the brand spanking new Peugeot 405 staff cars), I'd always go for them as, in terms of reliability, they weren't any worse than the diesel VW Transporters and Ford Transits (which is not saying much, unfortunately, the general state of the Belgian army motor pool at the time was rough, to say the least*). The thing was, if I did break down, having grown up helping my dad and my uncles service and fix their Beetles, there was a good chance I could fix up the bus good enough to limp home, road side.
(*)Rem.: the Belgian army got rid of conscription soon after in order to be able to fund a complete overhaul of rolling stock.
Mustie1, I'm glad that the bus is fixed and that Ur wife is doing well, there is a woman at physical therapy who is recovering from the same thing, and she is far from pain free.
What do the undercoating chains use for spray?
Brother you need to try Por 15.
Cant wait for the single cab.
Glad to know your better half is recovering well.
LOL @ "watch where you're going lady" as he cuts her off… 😉

Mistie1, now that it has been 2.5 years since your wife's surgery, how is she doing?
I'm sure you'll hammer it out just right. Down south here those are made into farm/hunting trucks.
early bird cafe and percosets make for a wonderful day
you've probably answered this before, but how many miles are on that bus?
