Are you anywhere near Lincoln?
What a sweet VDUB BUS you have Krustie. My mother had about 3 to 4 buses. And she loved them.
wow, around your area looks nothing like Australia! haha
I love this video. I had a '63 VW van That I had rebuilt the eng. I put 83 mm, or was it 85 mm jugs, an SCR electronic ignition and changed to higher gearing on the back end. It gave me 27 mpg. after that as well as the ability to climb San Diego State university hill at 75 mph. Before it was doing good to give 40 mph on that sane hill. I put an old rebuilt Ford pinto carb. 2 barrel 2 stage progressive linkage. I had to swap out the primary and secondary jets. Here's the thing: swapping out those jets was not a thing, which had to be done all the time. It was just something I had to do, and man that V Dub could run. I love that old van.
I came from a family of eight children. We went through several Volkswagen buses in the 1960's. You bring back a lot of memories.
I am very enthusiastic about your channel, by the way! I had a Honda CB360 from 1976 and did a lot of wrenching on that bike! You´re wright saying: "Doing is learning!!!¨ Now I ´m in the process of repairing a chinese scooterengine G6Y! Any videos on that coming in the future!? Volkwagen ¨oldies¨ always have been my favourites, knowing them since childhood! Maybe one day a mexican beauty beatle will cross my way here on the coastal pacific roads of Chile!! Saludos!!!
