That paint is cold House of Colors blue to Gold chameleon paint. I used to have a 1 ton dually crew cab that was slammed to the ground with bags on it. I ruined the front bumper on it. I bought a pint of that paint for $600 I think was somewhere around that. It's was like $3,000 a gallon. Stuff is beautiful but why was it expensive!
That is a Department of Defense (DoD) registration sticker on the front windshield. The two numbers are the month and year it expired, so August of 2007. The band underneath was specific to the installation such as Portsmouth, but the color designated the status of the owner. Red for enlisted, Blue for officers, and Green for contractors/others. They have disappeared from most places nowadays over concerns about force protection and not identifying service members to the bad guys.
RAT BLACK MATTED BLACK RAT🤣👍👀
The 1966 lights were still being installed until about May of 1967 if I am not mistaken.
We had to tow one from Oklahoma City, we tied a rope to the steering wheel to the wing glass close brace bracket, went to Tenn. .

why not just trailer it home?
Is a Ford mustang paint the only put it out one year
Yeah, when I grabbed my '67 vdub (hardtop), I drug it about a block with a tow-bar before the drums started turning, lol.
Why would you not load it on your trailer, looks like that would be much safer that trying to drag it with a tow bar?
