Isn't it amazing what people will cover up with Bondo mustie1? I had a 69 Firebird one time my first car I ever owned. Guys literally rebuild the bottom half of the quarter panel and the Bondo was chicken wire and screen. About 8 inches up from the bottom. My dad died when I was 11, so I had nobody to tell me hey dude don't buy this car. But I loved the car:-) just wished I had known that about the quarter panels cuz I wouldn't have given 1500 for it in 1986 ๐Ÿ™‚

People should learn how to fiberglass. This could have been fixed permanently without adding metal. Epoxy.

This is where a TIG welder would have been the tool to have. You could have stiched that mess up in a few hours.

when you grind with a wire wheel on your grinder I noticed you don't use a guard on the grinder? any reason for this.

@Mustie1 At 10.46 in the video the door is very rusty, after you have sanded it down to bare metal whats the first coat you paint on it,what do you put on that bare metal to protect it before any top coat paint,to make sure the rust doesnt come back??

My friend , cleaned out the rust around windshield, spray painted with primer, made a dam under the windshield lip, filled the area with thickened west systems epoxy. Then reformed the windshield lip to original profile. The great thing about resins and epoxies is you can make them cure as fast or slow as you want

I don't know that using the windscreen/windshield on the rotten camper for a reference for the double cab will help much, it looks to me very much like the one in the camper has been out at least once before when it was painted blue at the front so it might well be sitting in a non-factory position or maybe on another bed of filler/bondo and bodge work…
