That is an odd-looking bus. Would make a cool camper though. Or even something to just store VW parts in Darren's backyard. What are you guys think?

my dads old camper was an lt30 made out of a converted bus, just like a vw camper but bigger, his had the 2.3 straight six petrol, the other petrol units in these was a 2tr 4 audi unit.
the 2ltr engines are more powerful and can be tuned, the 2.3 6 cyl was very smooth 2.500 rpm at 60 mph and it would cruise all day, they were very popular in the uk and had loads of models from lt20 up to lt45 light trucks, lt35, 40 and 45 were built and sold as man trucks.
the buses made better campers than vans due to the soundproofing and the larger heavier chassis, the vans were tinny and abused.
.. from back in the day when “foreign cars” were nearly taboo (except the VW Bug).
