Owned two 535s great bike slightly under powered owed two 750cc virago still have it great bikes ticks all the boxes , especially for the smaller person, have ridden it Al the wall across Europe with luggage with cruising pegs very comfortable, good mpg. Love it. Still riding at 78yrs
the carbs are very sensitive on these. I pull them Completely apart and soak them over night. Always put in a fresh carb kit when you have them apart. New rubbers, o rings, gasket boots, float, needle and seat and pull out those emullsion tubes.
THANKYOU you have answered the problem with my bike when I removed CARBS i didn't clean those Tubes the way you did with drill bit only Compressed Air …my bike doing exactly same Not Firing on front cylinder . Replaced the ignition coils n new iridium plugs thinking it was this BUT no change :(was also dreading I'd have to drop engine strip heads off n Regrind valves etc but your leak down Test (Excellent advice) tryed this and valves not leaking so saved me days striped down :)I wana ride my bike Asap …Many Many Thanks keep up the awesome vids safe n Happy Journeys on y bike …cheers Bob ..

that bike is a 1996 1100 1985 1986 1987 all was 1000 1100 came out in about 1988 1990 i am a yamaha tec. your welcome..

Ah, when you did the leak down test and went to the carb, I turned my ear towards the screen to listen out for a leak. I feel so foolish now…
