Type 3s and 914 Porsche were the favorites of no one at the VW shop that I worked at.
I don't know exactly where or from whom I learned it from, but I never crank a starter more than 8 – 10 seconds..to avoid over heating starter, and battery seems to last longer… but very few people I know have ever heard same…works for me..
I ownedone of these cars back in the day here in England. Cost me £600 if I remember, and worth every penny. Exact same modelas yours. Great video by the way bud, keep 'em cummin.

I know they had the automatic stickshift, but an automatic🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔the other question or doubt is that is a 1968 model and they had fuel injection then.
