Would you buy jay, it was free, you paid too much, actually pretty cool. It's all big guns, old farm truck yeah. He had on his property for 50 years, so used to put it in four wheel low. Let the kids run around in it and get firewood that kind of thing: yeah.
50. 50 acres, you haven't had it running or anything you just kind of dropped it off yeah, it pulled it right out of a horse. Barn top comes off windshield folds down. Well, i know what we're gon na go, try and do see.
We put her in the garage and, let's see if we can bring her back to life, go cruise for chicks, we're hanging out in gh diggs and we're gon na do a wrenching from his setup. Something a little different see how this works out for us uh. This run no okay, oh well at least it's light. It is light.

It's just that it's a heavy pig. It doesn't want to move yep. There's your problem that one don't turn at all you wish one okay hold on got all stuff in the way. That might be an issue.
What i don't know, i might leave it on there until we uh hit the lift underneath it. If you have to tweak it, we can see we crack that hood open and see that awesomeness, that's underneath there huh. I could smell raw dank fuel, though i think we got lucky. He put, i think he put aircraft fuel in um anything in there now the radiator's empty. Let me just set up and stand we'll go grab that fan see if that thing turns all right. Oh yeah go where's that is it yeah is the bottom hole yeah the bottom's turning good did it yep nice? So, what's this like half of a v8 or something because it's not an angle, i think it's a what 152 yeah, but it's like one bank. It looks like yeah. You have no idea how long it's been, though right it's been. I don't know how long it's been um, no sticker, nothing on it, not that it was used. Uh.
It's been off the road for a couple few decades, because i remember seeing the paperwork where you wrote on the registration why? What no longer fit for the rivers? It's got wood floors. I took the wood floors out to see how bad the rust was this side and what you took the floors out and then there's just there's literally nothing yeah, not that i really needed to do that, but just to see what we were working with um uh Debating with the pull of plugs and throw a little oil down inside it, or if we just kind of go for, let's go throw a battery in it and we'll just kind of it does it have a key yeah, okay and we'll just see if we get Anything out of it, i would just touch it real, quick, don't leave it on there. Just in case i would just touch the post just yeah everything's alive good, i'm gon na go see if she's got any oil in her a good thing to go start with. Looks a little it's a little watery and it's got some gas in there because it's wet does have it, which is good.
It's not terrible and again, if it's at a long time a lot of the crap in the oil will settle down with yeah, not bad yeah. I see you give her a little bump see if she does so we got some oil on the manifold. It's weird not have any mouse nests, oh you're, in there they're in there are they yeah. I already uh took it to the car washing back into all of them.
Well, that's why it looks so clean, yeah, yeah yeah, your pumps. If anything happens there you go. Oh yeah, first time i heard that give her a little a little bit. Okay, let's go uh pull plug wire off, see what we got for spark.
It's probably gon na be with the cap. I would think yeah just give that a little zap all right here. We go. No, i'm not seeing anything.
Go ahead. Nothing! Nothing! He's getting another battery ready to get charged up. This one sounds kind of weak. Let's go and go get a test light.
We got a working test, light we're going to go probe the uh distributor, see if it's got power going to it and we're going to go pro. This should be the hot side of it says positive. Once you go out, go turn the key on. It's dim real dim crank it for a second yeah.
That's weird hold on okay, crank it, okay! Okay: where do we get the weird feeling that that might be backwards? It was getting now because yeah crank it one more time. It's got a signal. It's got a signal for um pulsing. That's the points coming out. Turning on and off, i think maybe we get a better battery on it and if you get a little more juicer, do you have a battery charger, we'll throw it right on that battery, and we got that. I want to show the jump pack on it. Yeah that might not do very much for us threw a jumper pack on let's go see if she spins any better, give her that's a little better. Let go.
Do i check for sparky on that plug see if it's we can get a different spot to ground off? I saw something real, faint and late. Let's go just pop the cap off we'll go check the points and all that kind of stuff anyway, but yeah. It's real weak get that cap out there see if we can see anything even the cap, that's on it is like half of an eight cylinder cap every other. Every other post is not there.
That would need a phillips got the advance right on top. Well. Mechanical fan says this trigger spins. These weights come out and it advances the spark on it.
Let's see what the access is to, where the points are. This truck's like five feet deep to get in there maybe go up a little higher crank it over. For a second, i want to see if they're opening you ready yeah go ahead. They're opening.
Did you bump it a little more good, there's about that's good? I should be able to get in there. I'm looking to get right. I don't know if you guys can see all right get right down in there. Next, what we might do is we might just put 12 volts right to the coil.
Maybe he's got a poor resistance going to keystone. Yes, thank you. You keep me on my toes. I know maybe your friends thought you did that on purpose.
I know she's got like 18 back and forth. Looks like somebody putting new stuff in there, though condensate stick is new wiring. I don't know about that. It's kind of sloppy.
It looks like there's no spring or not, there's no screw hole in there. It looks like it's just kind of like gravity holding it, so we throw it back together. If we'll crank it again, we don't have any spark we'll put a jumper right to the coil and uh put 12 volts right to it and see if that improves our our gain it'll. This is a ballast resistor and that's what that is right there and if you look, you can see the wires are, are bare ballast, resistors kind of idea.
It wants to give full 12 volts to the coil when you're trying to crank it and then, when you let off it, knocks it back down to a lower voltage. So it doesn't burn out the points in the condenser. So we're going to put 12 volts right to the coil. I have a feeling how dim that light.
Was that there's a fault going on some here, especially with those wires being tied up and kind of boogered up like they are right there? Let's go get a jumper wire, we'll put it right to the coils who we get it's a positive and negative on the coil. That's the positive side. We were probing last time, so we can go grab that which you can go right to the hot side of the battery and hopefully not and she's cranking nail. So i'm gon na get you to go as soon as i'm ready with the spark plug just go. Give her a spin again, sir: there you go now she's getting do one more time, better, it's a light spark, but at least there's something there. They even got prenates. It's you all right. Yes, i'm gon na have to have a fire extinguisher in here dude.
I don't know um yeah. We do all right. So we'll give her a little bit of some power to the coil cracker, sir. There you go how'd the oil pressure.
Look any lights on the dash. No did i stop pouring um whoops. Let's um go, give her again hold it. Make sure that choke is either it's open all the way.
It's probably got uh. You said they put good gas in it. Yeah i was gon na say it might be sucking. We didn't disconnect the uh okay hold down the carburetor, whether that float is open or not.
I know which way is open that layer. That way, i would say that is choke. I would say that is not because it's holding the throttle open give her a little shot again come on. Take the wire as soon off i took the wire off it died.
So that's what the problem was when this got parked. It had no spark and it had a uh issue with the uh. That's why that's what i had that weak spark and it went around as soon as i pulled the wire off it died, so they tried they put new points in it and condenser all the stuff was shiny, new in the rotor and all yeah, but yeah. That was definitely something going and going on with the ballast resistor or the wiring going to the key, possibly cool.
Let's uh play a little more we're gon na put that wire back on so you've got enough battery left to go fire one more time and he's gon na go. Try putting it in gear, see what it does. I am yes, you are. You want me to do it i'll.
Do it, i'm just don't have here single cap. Oh wait left the key on again. That's all right! That's because that's because it's stalled out on us people firing right up, it might just go right and take off there. You go idols and everything kinda wow, it doesn't sound bad, actually keep trying you'll find it.
You got a clutch, you got a gas pedal. Look at you is your transfer case in neutral, oh yeah, that's what it is put put the main shifter in neutral. First, before yeah this one go for it: it'll be high or low. There you go hold on.
Let me get out of the way, but good you got brakes automatic ones, jay joe hold up. Let me get the jumper pack out of the way we'll lower the hood. Leave it running. Is it any gauges showing like charging or anything or you don't? Have it have a charge gauge just lights, gummy lights, better run! This keep it out of.

Would you get lucky on the first time there you go uh laughs, god gr drives yeah first drive, you got a brake pedal you're good for the road you're afraid to hit the brakes now, huh! No there's! No! I i checked the uh fluid, there's, no, nothing in there. It's dragon really bad. I don't even know if that was first, i'm guessing. I think so. Yeah you put it in low range too. The things to just crawl, yeah. Try try low see what it because this was all seized.
Oh yeah yeah. I had to lube spray like a whole pv blaster in there, because this was stuck when josh and i were trying to move it so uh, so yeah, so low is forward. So we're in high yeah. If you put this one forward, if it'll go, you might have to bump probably neutral right now.
Yeah, if you can you might you know what i'm almost afraid to put it in what i don't want to stick yeah, oh front axle. Yeah, but i should put you in low range, though you know, remember: yeah now, you're not eating anything. Can you go back and put it in high again so you're backing high again right, yeah, we just those ranks were so stuck. That's crazy! Just you in first gear yeah go go another round, go ahead.
How are they gon na be able to make the uh? Don't worry to do it? It's like i'm playing the video backwards. You need low range for that yeah. I got to get those brake drums on stuff man. I can't believe it idle man she's alive she's got ta, get those brakes on and stuff.

I don't if it's just bound up and it doesn't want to go in or when we picked it up. I think he had it in low low. I wonder if we lock the front hubs and we get the front assembly to turn a little bit and maybe they'll line up. Maybe it's just the splines.
Does it got locking hooks? No, i think it's just the lever. Oh okay, i'll try that then even that feels like yeah, so in his torso, so see what happens there. It goes so it was set up to not go. They should just crawl.
Now. Call me, oh call me a liar now we're in yeah. Where was first, you know towards you, no, it was up, it was up. I was in first, it was up all the way left, i think, was reversed, feels kind of fast. I would see it i can feel i can feel it yeah. It's been four wheel. Now, right, you have to worry about rolling away like exactly exactly that's low, so that should be what that burst right there, let's go climb the hill ready to roll had to one-up me. Didn't you! I didn't want to hit the brakes all the way down.

Before all the full driving stuff works, you can make this thing an off-road rack, yeah.
You know the bodies yeah the bodies brakes, you didn't need brakes, put a plow on it. The plot will be a break, so drop it yeah. But then you got military military tires on it all right guys. I say they guess it can be about it.

I drove one of these things on the job in 1963-4. I hated it. 40 mph and it was wound tight.
In low range and low gear, It would climb a tree. Unstoppable.

if you push the truck into the shed on a slight angle you could go over the step one wheel at a time therefore reducing effort needed to climb step by half

For an American product, that truck has a rather Soviet Russian appearance to it.
If it has a proper chassis under it, it should be possible to resurrect the vehicle, but I guess it all depends on what the owner wants from it? – Did someone get a bit carried away with a can opener?
