This bike was the first bike I've owned as a kid back in the 70's. I recently picked one up that runs well but, could be brought back to life. I find your videos the perfect tutorials I need to do the projects I want.
You can tell he enjoyed the rest of the work on this bike after the screw up with the engine and gearbox issues. But like he said it’s education when you do something first time and learn from your mistakes and parts from China.
does Basani still make exhausts for these? They went on all my silver year Elsinores, SL's and XR's. They used to be cheap and bolted straight to the mounts. I raced for Honda then. Cr's until the 500cc's and my knees went.

A groovie hint. The best rust desolver of all time, PB blaster, spray it on, scrub it and soak it for a day and rust is gone.
Watching you rebuild all the bikes I grew up with brings back some great memories, so much fun riding those bikes.
Have you ever tried the rubber eraser wheel? They work excellent for removing pinstripes and decals. Like 5 bucks a wheel.
You do love that body hammer.
Ok 👌 know send it to me 🤪
Harvey is the man!
A little denatured alcohol would have let that rubber hose slide on the kick start very easily.
Who ever buys that Honda must know plenty of happy riding miles ahead, great restoration Mike South Africa
